Jesus, Our Great High Priest
Hebrews 4:14-16
Jesus is our Great High Priest. Because of him we can approach God's throne of grace with boldness. Great news! However, it does raise some big questions- why couldn't we approach God's throne with boldness anyway? Why do we need a great High Priest at all? And why is this whole subject so important both in the letter to the Hebrews and to us today?

When God's forgotten me
John 11:1-45
Can sickness really be for God's glory? Isn't it just a bad thing? From John 11, we look at a time when Jesus didn't act, even for 'the one he loved', 'so that God's son may be glorified through it.'

When doesn't act
2 Corinthians 12
Why doesn't God do something?! Why wouldn't God do this for me? This week we look at Paul's thorn in the flesh from 2 Corinthians 12 and see that God's answer to the person who wrote over half the New Testament was 'No'. Despite what we sometimes feel, there is actually no correlation between whether God acts and whether he exists. In fact sometimes God says no for our good.
