Jonathan and Helen moved to Birmingham in 1996 in order to start the church. Jonathan leads the Churchcentral eldership team and carries primary responsibility for the preaching in the church. He teaches on a range of Newfrontiers training courses and also helps lead the 2020 Birmingham church planting network. Helen works as an elderly support worker with Karis Neighbour Scheme. They live in King’s Norton and have two teenage sons.
Jonny oversees the church’s outreach programme and student work. He is also part of the preaching team and leads Sputnik, the art collective and network that serves the Catalyst network of churches. He is married to Jemma and they have three kids.
Owen originally came to Birmingham for University, and after a stint as a touring musician, and another one as a HR professional, he joined the staff of Churchcentral in 2012. Owen leads the South site and oversees our CAP Debt Centre as well as our worship and Children’s work. He is married to Anna, who is a professional Storyteller, and they have two daughters.
Chris moved to Birmingham in 2010 with his wife Zoe after graduating from Sussex university. He works part time leading Churchcentral’s North Site, and part time as a Social Worker for a neighbouring local authority. Zoe is a GP in the city and together they have two children, Eben and Matilda.
After 12 years in various roles in the Voluntary Sector, Alys joined the Churchcentral team as Office Manager in November 2015. As Office Manager, Alys’ role is to ensure the smooth running of the office, assist with event planning and specific projects. She is married to Adie and they have two young boys.
Hannah works in the office as the church Office and Finance Administrator. She moved to Birmingham in Autumn 2014 to join Churchcentral, after graduating with a degree in history. She married Josh in May 2015 and they go to West Site.
Beth is our Kidzcentral Administrator, she joined the staff team in July 2015 following her 'Impact' gap year where she worked as a full time volunteer for the church. She works one day a week, recruiting team, writing material and organising Kidzcentral events. She spends the other 6 days of the week studying to be a teacher at BCU and baking.
Andy and Heather moved to Birmingham in 2014 to join the staff team to serve the church but also to involve us in the work Andy has been doing among unreached peoples in the Middle East. Andy is involved in the recruiting and training of people who want to serve God in another nation and also in helping to equip churches to send and support people well.
Prior to Birmingham Andy and Heather have moved around the UK, being involved in leading and planting churches. They have five children, three of whom came to Birmingham with them.
