Resources for kids

Loving Jesus in lockdown

What's this all about?

Jesus loves our children, and we want to help our children love Jesus. With all the challenges right now in parenting, there is also an unrivaled opportunity of much more time with our kids.
These resources don't come with any pressure at all, but are  with a spirit of wanting to equip you to do whatever you can in this time to help fuel the faith of our kids.

books & stories

A few recommended books, ranging from inspiring stories to devotional material.
These are some links to online videos of various Bible stories (the second and third are also suitable for younger children).

worship

To help our kids worship God, here are some online videos and playlists filled with great worship songs for kids and maybe even some dance routines if you're lucky!

devotionals

There are a few websites that have a range of helpful resources to help children connect with Jesus. The Rend Collective website has songs, stories, devotionals and an online store.  Kids on the Move has sessions for school age children (~30-40mins) and pre-school (~10 mins) which include scripture, songs, silly stories and clips.

Kids 'peace pack'

Our children may well be anxious, unsettled or fearful at this time.
These three resources follow the ideas shared in the Questions In Crisis talk on peace.
They have songs, stories, verses, questions and activities for you.

My corona
colouring book

A relative of Elspeth from Churchcentral North has designed this amazing Bible heroes colouring book, with relevant verses to being in lockdown. He's made it available for us. Legend.

"I AM...Incredible!" activity sheets

A collection of activity packs with Bible verses, puzzles, cut and stick craft. Each one around a different theme of who God has made us each to be, you could do pack a week, one sheet a day, or whatever works for you.
