I believe in God but
[ 7 Episodes ] 23 September 2012 - 13 November 2012
Maybe like so many, you’re a member of a church, but you’re secretly ashamed of your past. Perhaps you’ve heard about the love of God, but you’re still not convinced that God totally loves you. This series addresses these struggles with the aim of closing the gap between our behaviour and beliefs.

I still worry a lot
Matthew 6:24-34
The things you are most devoted to tend to be the things you worry about the most. The solution to your worry isn’t trying harder to stop worrying, or merely pretending the problems have gone away – the ultimate solution is redirecting your devotion.

I'm not going to forgive you
Ephesians 4:31-32
If you could get rid of your anger; if you could face the people who have hurt you and not allow it to control you; if you could be free of bitterness and resentment, wouldn't you be interested? The apostle Paul gives us the solution in this life changing passage.

I don't talk to Him
Luke 18:1-8
A lot of people love knowing about Jesus, but don’t really know him. Many love the thought of his love, but don’t really know it for themselves. It’s a miserable exchange! Jesus hasn’t come so you’d religiously do what he says, without walking with him and knowing him. This talk aims to kick-start your prayer life by helping you grasp God’s delight in you.

I believe in God but
Galatians 3:26-4:9
When Paul wrote his letter to the Galatians, they had experienced the real, living God – but their knowledge of him wasn’t strong enough to stop them falling back into their old way of life. And so Paul spelled out exactly what it means to be adopted as children into God’s family. Similarly for us today, if we’re going to close the gap between what we believe and how we live, the starting place is to get to grips with who we are in Christ.
