You're invited
Our Weekend Away is back. Get away to a beautiful setting in mid Wales, with others from across your church and the other Churchcentral churches, to encounter God and receive fresh faith and vision together. With plenty of fun and food thrown in too!

All the info
What's the Weekend Away?
It’s a chance for the whole Churchcentral family to get away together; to refresh our vision and love for God; to have fun and food together, all in the beautiful rolling hills of Wales.
Why do we do it?
Aside from the joys of getting away and enjoying time together, it’s also an important opportunity to live out the fact that we are still one Churchcentral family of churches! Yes, we are scattered across the city, but at the Weekend Away we will come together and express our togetherness. We'll remember we’re part of something bigger that God is doing. We’ll hear stories of what is happening across the churches. And we’ll spur one another on to what God has for us next. So, if you call a Churchcentral church home, we’d absolutely love you to be there!
When is it?
It’s Friday 27th June (arrival from 4pm) to Sunday 29th June (leaving the site by 3pm).
Where is it?
It will be held at Cefn Lea where we have been before, a Christian conference centre in mid-Wales. It’s about a 2-hour drive from Birmingham.
What will we do?
The weekend’s activities will start on the Friday evening and finish with lunch on Sunday. There will be meetings together with times of worship, encountering God together and preaching. There will also be planned social activities and time to spend with the church family. The site has many recreational facilities including a playground and some great walking opportunities.
How much is it and what is included?
We want everyone to be able to come along and so have set the early bird booking in prices as:
£0 for children aged 2 and under (in June 2025)
£25 for children 3-18 and adults (in June 2025)
This gets you booked in and covers your accommodation, food and all the activities over the weekend. This price is available for those who book in by the end of April 2025.

We will then hold a gift day across the churches nearer the time, where people can give as they are able to towards the costs of the event. The costs of running the event have increased by approximately £5 for under 14s and £10 for over 14s. To guide you as you consider giving, the overall costs per person of the weekend are:
Booking Price: £25
0-2 year olds: free!
3 – 7 year olds: £50
8 – 10 year olds: £80
11- 13 year olds: £105
14 years +: £135
Why a gift day?
Our vision is that everyone can come on this weekend, and we don’t want finances to be a barrier to this. The Cefn Lea ticket prices have increased this year, however we have decided to reduce our booking in fees to ensure that everyone is able to come.
We will then hold gift days to cover the majority of the cost of the weekend, as a step of faith in God’s provision for this, and also to enable us to be family together – sharing what we have with each other.
How can I book?
Click here to go through our online ticketing platform.
If you are unsure please speak to your church leader, small group leader or a friend who has been before!
What are the accommodation arrangements?
The set up at Cefn Lea is a combination of rooms within chalets, typically three rooms sharing a bathroom, lounge, and kitchen area, as well as static caravans which have three bedrooms, a bathroom, lounge area and kitchen. We would love everyone to feel as comfortable as possible over the weekend, so we try to enable people to share facilities with others they know well. There is also potentially an option to camp this year, but this will be dependent on numbers.
What about food?
All meals are provided by the centre, with dietary requirements catered for, and each room has access to a small kitchenette.
How do I get there?
The venue is 2 hours away by car. However, we are aware that not everyone who wants to come can drive. There is a train station in nearby Newtown, and we would encourage people to offer lifts to others. We can provide some support in arranging transport – please note on your booking if you need support with transport or can offer a lift to someone.
We are not planning on hiring a coach this year as we think we can support everyone in our church without the need for this.
What are the arrangements for children?
There will be children’s activities during the services for children aged 2-11years.
We will also provide crèche space with toys for parents with children under the age of 2.
There will also be activities for those of secondary school age throughout the weekend.
More details on these will follow closer to the event.
